This year we're doing something very different, a Danube river cruise! We'll begin in Budapest and end in Nuremberg Germany. We'll be spending a couple of days in Budapest before shoving off on the 15th of May. At the end of the cruise we'll be going to Prague in the Czech Republic for a couple of nights before moving on.
The second part of our trip will be a Holland America cruise on the Baltic Sea. We'll fly from Prague to Amsterdam. That voyage leaves on the 25th of May. We've been wanting to do a second Baltic cruise for many years so we decided to go for it now.
Our trip begins on May 12th when we fly from Boston to Budapest via Dublin on Aer Lingus. They have a decently priced business class product and this is going to be a long flight so we're glad we'll have comfortable seats for the overnight portion of the trip. Boston to Dublin is a little over 6 hours and then it will be another three hours to Budapest (after a three hour layover in Dublin).
We're taking two bags with us and then shipping a third directly to Amsterdam for the Baltic cruise. We'll need warmer clothes for that portion of the trip.
Hopefully we'll have good internet along the way so we can take you along with us.
